Our aim is to make your compensation claim as quick and simple as we possibly can. Set out below are the three basic stages of any claim for compensation and what you can do to help.

1. collect evidence

If you have been injured in a public place or involved in a car accident, there are a few steps you can take in order to help maximise your potential for compensation by gathering evidence:

  • Take photos of the injury straight away to help prove the value of your claim.
  • Obtain the name, address and telephone number of all those involved and any police officer's name and number.
  • Take pictures of the scene and the surrounding area from all angles as soon as possible.
  • Take the name, address and telephone number of any potential witness. We will contact them to take their statements.
  • Take photos of any damage to property.  Obtain at least two repair estimates and thereafter you should be able to arrange for repairs and be able to reclaim the cost.

2. consult us

You should consult us as soon as you have an accident. Even if you think that no one was to blame or you do not know who is to blame (for example an untraceable driver) we may still be able to obtain compensation for you. Remember that you can get free, impartial legal advice from us. There are no obligations for you to use us after your initial consultation but if you do we will pay you up to £500* for your claim. Of course, our service continues to remain free to you throughout the course of your case.

3. leave the rest to us

Once you have decided to instruct us you can rest assured that we will deal with your case promptly and efficiently. We will:

  • Make prompt contact with the other side and try and resolve your claim as soon as possible.
  • Arrange a medical for you if necessary.
  • Arrange for an engineer to examine your car if necessary.
  • Obtain interim payments for you to cover the cost of car hire, property damage and “out of pocket” expenses.

You can help speed up this process by:

  • Promptly signing and returning any documents that we send you.
  • Retaining all receipts.
  • Attending medicals.
